Peak Saddles
After years of saddle fitting Dr. McCoy is working with a manufacturer in Walsall England to develop a line of Peak branded saddles. This label is proprietary but is based on decades of saddle tradition with both new as well as tried and true ideas and manufacturing processes. Each saddle will be standard with an English made wood spring tree and quality Jacobs wool flocking. These saddles have been designed on multiple trees to afford fit options for a number of horse shapes with consistent features for the rider that seem to be commonly requested. For the rider a choice of knee blocks and a true monoflap design that allows a close feeling for your leg but a soft and supported seat. A virtually infinite number of colors, leathers and design combinations are available to customize your Peak saddle and make it your own!
All models have a base price of $4750.

AltitudeThis Jump saddle is initially offered as a single flap saddle. The tree was chosen to suit the uphill, fit and trending toward refined event horses. The seat, flap and tree were designed to allow for a close contact and secure feel.
Available in both flat and deep seated options. Deep pictured above. |
AscentThis model is for more of the moderately refined warmblood who has wither and is neither broad nor narrow. The front of the saddle is still open enough to accommodate the bigger scapulas of some of these horses without destabilizing the tree on the more refined frames we often see in the dressage world today. This is the deepest of the seats in the peak line (so far!).

PinnacleThis saddle has a tree with a front to back curve and an open head that will accommodate the working dressage horse who has broad bone structure and decent wither or a more curvy back. The front of the saddle is open and allows for more muscled and prominent scapula horses that are also uphill.

SummitThis saddle has a more "average" (in the best possible way) tree shape. its still fairly open in the front for horses with larger structure with enough curve in the tree to accommodate horses with wither but may work better for some of the horses that have a flatter shape
