New and Custom Saddles

If you are on the hunt for that perfect fitting saddle or
one with a little more flair a new custom saddle may be just the thing for you!

All of the companies I work with as an independent saddle fitter can make standard sized saddles in "off the rack" options as well as saddles made to your horse's template.  Each of these made to order saddles have both classic,  fun and beautiful personalization options from subtle colored welting and upgraded leather to truly unique styling.

Each of these companies are based in England where saddle making is a formal and regulated trade governed by the Society of Master Saddlers.  At these workshops renowned Master Saddlers work with the highest quality materials to guarantee quality and safety.

Adam Ellis Saddles

Another small but quality saddle manufacturing outfit.  Adam Ellis has been seeing huge success in England and his brand is growing in the US too.  He offers both more modern looking saddles as well as traditional saddles from close contact jump saddles to deep seated and specialized dressage saddles.  Adam Ellis offers the most amount of unique customization options of the brands I work with - including crystal studded cantles!  Well crafted saddles at a reasonable price.  Starting at $2500.

Fairfax Saddles

Fairfax saddles are built with form, function and aesthetics in mind.  They are well crafted saddles built with the technology of gait analysis and pressure mapping to develop a beautiful and function saddle.  Fairfax saddles are built on the popular and adjustable simatree with panels stuffed with high quality British jacobs wool and prolite lining for added pressure reduction.  Minimal customizations are available.

Kent and Masters

Kent and Masters saddles (like the Thorowgood, Fairfax and Hastilow Concept saddles) are built on the versatile and adjustable simatree.  They are crafted with your horse in mind with panels flocked with the finest British wool.  The S-series mirrors many of the popular thorowgood T8 saddles with the added feature of being completely leather.  These saddles are largely "off the rack" with minimal customization available.

Kings is a lovely small company in england.  They produce a high end product made to order.  The company is known for their spring tree manufacturing which gives them endless opportunities to customize the fit of a saddle to your horse.  They have an ever growing number of saddle styles from all purpose to jump and dressage.  I personally like their dressage range quite a bit.  Their saddles are very reasonably priced at $2500+ depending on style and options chosen.

Thorowgood

Thorowgood saddles are an affordable well made option for all riders.  Thorowgood saddles are largely synthetic saddles though the T8 line have a lovely leather seat and knee pad.  These saddles are built on the simatree which provides the flexibility of a changeable gullet to allow for a variety of different widths.
Please note below is only a selection of their entire line of saddles.  Any saddle from Thorowgood can be ordered.  Prices subject to change.

Black Country Saddles

BCS is well known throughout England and has pockets of popularity in the US.  They are well manufactured beautiful saddles that stand the test of time.  Some of my favorite saddles to ride in are Black Country!  They offer a full range of dressage, jump and endurance minded saddles.  Generally run from $2700 to $4400 depending on model, leather and other options. Truly a great saddle for both horse and rider.  This company has the quickest turn around on custom orders right now.

Hastilow Competition Saddles

Hastilow Saddles are made by master saddlers in a family run workshop.  Hastilow offers 2 lines of saddles with different trees.  The traditional treed saddles are built on nonadjustable trees and can be customized both for horse and rider for a specific and accurate fit.  The Concept line of saddles are built on the simatree saddle which offers the flexibility of a changeable gullet on an innovative tree that also flexes through the bars to allow the tree to change not just in the front of the saddle but throughout as you widen or narrow the the saddle with new (very easy to change) gullet plates.  While the simatree isn't for every horse or rider, however, it does offer a great option for people looking for a quality saddle for multiple horses or for horses with a changing shape.
